There are plenty of Halloween events happening around Duluth, including parties and kids activities. In this blog, we wanted to focus on some of the more unique Duluth MN Halloween events 2017 that you can enjoy (though we threw in a few more just for fun). Any of these can give you a scare (or, a non-scary experience) to remember.
William A. Irvin Haunted Ship
While you can tour the William A. Irvin lake freighter all year round in Duluth, only during the month of October can you have a haunted experience to remember. Tours run 6:30-10 p.m. Thursday – Saturday through all of October and Monday and Tuesday Oct. 30-31. Tickets are $12 at the door, cash or check only. There are discounts available with a canned good donation, groups, and for students. Children under 12 must be with a parent. While the haunted ship tour is staffed with actors for the scariest experience, this ship does have a history of being haunted all year round.
North Scenic Railroad Pumpkin Patch Express
Not many towns have a train and track available like the North Scenic Railroad. From Thursday Oct. 19 to Sunday Oct. 22, families can travel from the North Scenic Railroad depot to a pumpkin patch. The 1.5 hour round trip train ride includes stories, entertainment, and a great view, and a pumpkin is included with the price of admission. The museum and depot activities, like bounce houses, coloring, magic shows and more are also included. Cost is $20 for adults and $18 for children. Tickets are available at for train departures at 10 a.m., 11:20 a.m., 12:50 p.m., 2:20 p.m., and 3:50 p.m. each day. The Oct. 28 Terror Train is already sold out.
